Miss Dior Eau de Parfum (2021) by Dior is an Amber Floral fragrance for women. It was launched in 2021, and the nose behind it is the renowned Dior perfumer – Francois Demachy.
Miss Dior 2021 is a rebrand of the 2017 version, although this new version feels like a new fragrance to me. It’s part of the Miss Dior collection. The keynotes are iris, Peony and Lily-of-the-Valley, and rose with a hint of vanilla.
A word from the perfumer, Francois Demachy:
“All our senses are awakened by the sensuality of the new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum’s floral bouquet. It celebrates the velvety and sensual Roses—heightened by a fresh Lily-of-the-Valley and biting Peony—enveloped by a powdery Iris.”

I tried it in the store as soon as it was released and I loved it so much I bought it on the spot. It was love at first sniff! This is my thoughts on this scent:
What does Miss Dior by Dior smell like?
It’s a diffused floral scent with some citrus notes and a hint of vanilla. It’s a refreshing floral accord overall.
This scent always makes me think of an elegant and timeless woman. In terms of similar scents, it reminds me of Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb, although it feels a bit more mature than Flowerbomb. It’s a very comforting scent in that it gives me a boost of confidence and makes me feel happier the moment I put it on.

Base Notes | Vanilla, Musk, Tonka Bean, Sandalwood and Benzoin |
My Experience
When I first spray it, I immediately notice the burst of flowers with some fruits in the mix. But it’s when it dries down that it becomes something really special as the vibe completely changes.
At first, you’d think it was a summery perfume based on the lightness of the fragrance and the feeling of the bottle. But as it dries, it becomes clear this is something for fall or spring, and it gets a bit warmer.
At this stage, the vanilla really starts coming through. The sandalwood makes it smoother, and the Tonka Bean adds to the warmth of the fragrance. After a few hours, I also first start picking up the Benzoin notes.
It also feels like it turns sweeter in the dry down, and only then can I start picking up a little bit more of the Musk notes too.
Sillage & Projection
I get a moderately soft projection of around 2 to 3 hours. The sillage is moderate overall, which I’m happy with as I often wear it to the office. My colleague that sits next to me has complimented me on it a few times, and it’s definitely not overpowering, so it doesn’t fill the whole room. Which I think when it comes to working in an office isn’t a bad thing.
Longevity & Versatility
This is my go-to scent in the spring and fall months, but if I had to pick only one season, it would be spring. I prefer something lighter for the summer and something a bit heavier for winter. It’s a daytime perfume, although I have worn it at night if I have like a work-related event where, for example, I want something that’s not offensive and a crowd-pleaser. I wouldn’t wear it on a date.
I love the longevity of this scent, and on average, it lasts about 8 to 10 hours on my skin. If I put it on in the morning before work I can still smell it by the time I clock out at the end of the day.
Closing thoughts
You can’t go wrong with this one if you are looking for a safe, crowd-pleaser that literally everyone will love. But if you are on the lookout for something that’s very unique that will leave people guessing, then this might not be the fragrance for you. So in a sense, it is pretty generic. That doesn’t mean it is bad at all, it might simply not be the statement piece something might be looking for.
If you like Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming, you will also like this 2021 formulation of Miss Dior, although I think it’s even more floral to my nose than Absolutely Blooming. This is also a fragrance for the younger crowd, given how sweet and floral it is. I can imagine someone that’s looking for a more mature scent will prefer something more complex.
It’s a safe blind buy if you like Absolutely Blooming as I mentioned and Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb. However, don’t automatically assume you’ll also love it if you are a fan of the 2017 formulation, as it is very different, in my opinion. Rather get a sample first before investing in a full bottle.
